Excel Add-in Authentication
The AEX Excel Add-in uses the same Azure AD authentication as the web trading terminal.
Sign-in flow
- Click Sign In in the AEX task pane
- A browser dialogue opens for Azure AD authentication
- Enter your organisation credentials
- After successful authentication, the task pane updates to show Connected
Token management
- Authentication tokens are cached locally and refreshed automatically
- You remain signed in across Excel sessions until your token expires or you sign out explicitly
- If you see Session Expired, click Sign In to re-authenticate
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |

| Sign-in window does not appear | Check browser pop-up blockers; ensure default browser is set |
| "Not authorised" after sign-in | Contact your admin to verify Market Maker role assignment |
| Connection drops after sign-in | Check network connectivity; the add-in reconnects automatically |
