Excel Add-in Installation

The AEX Excel Add-in transforms Microsoft Excel into a market maker workstation, providing real-time market data and order management directly within your spreadsheets.

Requirements

• Microsoft Excel — Desktop version (Windows or macOS) with Office.js support
• Organisation account — Azure AD credentials with Market Maker role
• Network access — connectivity to the AEX backend API

Installing the Add-in

1. Open Microsoft Excel
2. Navigate to Insert → Office Add-ins → My Organisation
3. Find Aotearoa Energy Exchange in the list
4. Click Add
5. The AEX task pane opens on the right side of your workbook

If you do not see the add-in listed under your organisation, contact your AEX administrator to ensure the add-in has been deployed to your tenant.

First-time setup

After installation:

1. Click Sign In in the AEX task pane
2. Authenticate with your Azure AD credentials
3. Once connected, the task pane shows your entity name and connection status
4. Real-time market data begins streaming automatically
